Kinvek Privacy Policy

Kinvek is published by X3N LLC (“we”, “us”).

Effective date: [effective date not set]

This is a plain-English summary of how Kinvek handles your data.

The short version

Kinvek is a workout logging app. It works fully offline with no account. If you choose to train with a partner ("kin"), it asks you to sign in with Apple and stores a small amount of data on our server so you and your kin can sync. We don't show ads, we don't sell or share your data, and we don't use any tracking or analytics tools. You can delete your account and all your data at any time from inside the app.

What we collect

If you never turn on partner features: nothing leaves your phone. Your workouts, templates, and schedule are stored only in the app's local database.

If you sign in with Apple to use partner features (kin invites, live sessions, sync), we store:

We do not collect: your bodyweight, your location, your contacts, your photos, browsing history, or any advertising or analytics identifiers. We have no ad SDK and no analytics SDK in the app.

Why we collect it

Everything above exists to make partner training work: syncing your data across your devices, showing your kin your name and progress (never your raw weight against theirs — see "How your data is shared" below), and running live sessions and notifications. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't build a profile of you for any purpose beyond operating the app you're using.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored on a server we operate (a VPS running MySQL-compatible storage), reached only over HTTPS. It's not stored with, or processed by, a third-party analytics, advertising, or data-broker company. We use Apple's push notification service (APNs) solely to deliver the notifications described above, and Apple's Sign in with Apple service to authenticate you — both are Apple infrastructure, governed by Apple's own privacy terms for those services.

How your data is shared

Your data is shared only with your linked training partner(s) ("kin"), and only the parts relevant to training together: your display name, kin color, unit preference, workout data from shared sessions, and progress comparisons on the Kin Board (which always compares you to your own past — never a raw ranking against your kin). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third party, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking, on Kinvek or anywhere else.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Deleted rows (for example, a deleted set or template) are kept briefly as internal "tombstones" so sync stays consistent across your devices, then cleaned up automatically. Data your kin has already seen (for example, sets from a session you did together) may remain as a scrubbed record — no longer linked to your identifying details — after you delete your account, if needed for their history.

Deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app: tap your initial on the home screen to open Profile, then choose "Delete account and data". This:

Children's privacy

Kinvek is not directed at children. It is not intended for use by anyone under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union / EEA), and we do not knowingly collect data from users under those ages. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above. Continued use of Kinvek after a change means you accept the updated policy.
